A Whole Lava Fun!!!!

September 4, 2008

It’s Here!!!!! Tomorrow is the Big Day!! It never fails to amaze me, the feeling I get when I drive down White and McKinley avenues adjacent to Fairplex the day before the Fair opens every year (and every year I say, “Wow, didn’t we just do this yesterday?”) – it truly is amazing how quickly the grounds fill up with booths, tents, flags, signs, huge rides! The 86th anniversary of the L.A. County Fair has arrived. It is going to be spectacular, but don’t take my word for it! Come out and see for yourself.
We open tomorrow at 11 a.m. Admission is only $1 until 5 p.m. There is so much to see: Bark Park, FairView Farms, Flower & Garden Pavilion with a volcano that erupts every 15 minutes (see photo of Mt. Fairplexatoa being installed), America’s Kids, A Pirate’s Life. And there is so much to eat – deep-fried White Castles, Tasty Chips, gourmet cup cakes and, finally HOT DOG ON A STICK!!!! The wait is over…
Keep checking our blog daily for the latest updates. I expect to post multiple times a day to keep you abreast of what is happening at the greatest Fair in the world!

  1. I saw the volcano and the Escape to Hawaii exhibit yesterday and it was amazing! I think that everyone should come out and check out all the new exhibits this year. They are really cool. My niece and nephew especially loved the Princess Dreamhouse and A Pirate’s Life.
