  1. I don’t live too far & I’ve always driven my car every year in which I usually go 2-3 times, but I may try taking the Metrolink one time.

It will be fun & it will feel nice to just sit back & relax on the way home after all that walking around!

Does anyone happen to know exactly where the Metrolink stops? Will it be right in front of the Yellow Gate?

  2. Hi Blue, Fair-ey Blogster here. The Fairplex metrolink platform is on the side of the grounds nearest the yellow gate. It’s on the outer edge of the parking lot, but trams can pick up guests and bring them right to yellow gate. See you at the Fair!

  3. Just in case anyone gets confused like I did at first. It looks like the train will stop near the yellow lot which is near the carnival entrance or on the Amtrak site is North Pomona. The special stop isn’t listed on the Amtrak trip map so I’m guessing just buying the round trip from your location to North Pomona should be good.

I’ll be trying out the train from Cal State LA station which is about $10-14$ round trip plus the $3.50 from my short bus trip on the 485 line from South Pasadena which is great compared to the $12 for parking, cost of gas and the headache of the 10 freeway.

However the cost for train tickets for a family of say 4 is still a bit high as your probably better off driving (and hopefully before any traffic).

4 more days to go. Im 27 and LOVE the fair as much as I love Disneyland!!! :)
