Hey Fair Fans, if you don’t want to bother with driving and parking at the Fair, how about the train? Metrolink is offering service every day of the Fair. Here is some info straight from the Metrolink Web site:
Metrolink is your easy way to get to the 2008 L.A. County Fair in Pomona.
The L.A. County Fair will open its gates on Friday, Sept. 5, and continue through Sunday, Sept. 28. San Bernardino Line trains will make special stops at Fairplex beginning Friday, Sept. 5. Trains will stop at the fair every day, except on Mondays and Tuesdays, when the fair is closed.
Metrolink riders, just show your valid Metrolink Round-Trip, 10-Trip Ticket or Monthly Pass at any Fair ticket booth and you’ll receive a coupon good for admission discounts and special Midway ride and food offers. 1. I don’t live too far & I’ve always driven my car every year in which I usually go 2-3 times, but I may try taking the Metrolink one time.
It will be fun & it will feel nice to just sit back & relax on the way home after all that walking around!
Does anyone happen to know exactly where the Metrolink stops? Will it be right in front of the Yellow Gate?

  2. Hi Blue, Fair-ey Blogster here. The Fairplex metrolink platform is on the side of the grounds nearest the yellow gate. It’s on the outer edge of the parking lot, but trams can pick up guests and bring them right to yellow gate. See you at the Fair!
